Nancy A. Grau, Ph.D.
Nancy completed her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from New Mexico State University in 2000. In, 2002, she was hired as an Executive Director at a nonprofit, child and family community-based agency in Albuquerque, New Mexico, She was also a founder and Officer for the New Mexico Youth Alliance, an organization which advocated for and developed macro-level services and policies for agencies that provided services to children and adolescents throughout the state of New Mexico. In 2005, Nancy opened a private practice providing: individual, couples and family therapy, as well as psychological and neuropsychological assessments to youth and adults. Dr. Grau obtained a licensed to practice psychology in Ohio, November 2017. Since becoming an Ohio provider, she has worked with incarcerated individuals and veterans. Dr. Grau offers traditional psychodynamic psychological psychotherapy, cognitive psychotherapy, emotion-focused therapy and some integrative practices such as meditation and visualization in overcoming and coping with mental health issues. Areas of expertise include: anxiety, depression, domestic violence attachment/bonding/relationship issues; domestic violence, addictions, and gender/sexuality issues. Dr. Grau believes that healing is a collaborative, multi-faceted process that involves self-awareness and growth, a positive therapeutic relationship, and exploring new behaviors.
