Amanda is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mount St. Joseph University, Amanda developed an interest in the mental health field. As an Emergency Room charge nurse, Amanda utilized her clinical skills in crisis intervention and individualized clinical care to manage high levels of acuity. Having seen and evaluated many ER visitors with panic, anxiety and mood disorders, Amanda decided to pursue her master’s degree in nursing from Walden University.
Amanda is very interested in working with both adult and adolescent populations with an emphasis on individualized care. She specializes in matching patient conditions with the proper treatment options and therapeutic techniques. This skill is vital in ensuring compliance and management of psychiatric conditions. She is a great listener, very empathetic and motivated to deliver high quality psychiatric care to her patients.
