Lexie Steigerwald

Lexie Steigerwald is a mental health therapist at Professional Psychiatric Services, providing psychiatric assessments and individual therapy for individuals 18+. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) and Master’s in Clinical Social Work (MSW) from the University of Kentucky. She is currently working towards her LISW.

She has worked in residential, inpatient, and outpatient mental health facilities, treating both individual and group populations. Lexie especially loves working with adult populations that are struggling with depression, anxiety, and/or eating disorders. Additionally, she has experience with trauma and PTSD.

Her therapy style is non-judgmental, individualized, empathetic, warm, and welcoming. She likes to give patients homework each week and often uses Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Lexie understands the anxiety of seeing a therapist and believes that it is entirely worth the journey.
