Dr. Yvonne Peay
LSW, LICDC-CS, ICCS
Dr. Peay is a Psychotherapist and Pastoral Counselor, licensed as a Licensed Social Worker and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor- Clinical Supervisor. With over 40 years of experience, she has dedicated her career to helping individuals navigate emotional and behavioral challenges.

Her extensive career includes working in residential care for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges, as well as supporting families and adults. While she no longer provides direct therapy to children, she meets with parents and guardians to provide a family-centered approach—empowering adults to understand the unique individuality of each child and family member and fostering a more compassionate, accepting home environment. Having previously treated individuals of all ages, she now focuses on working with adults 21+ who are navigating life transitions and seeking purpose in mid-to-late adulthood.

Dr. Peay's areas of competency include play therapy, trauma-informed therapy, anxiety, depression, alcohol and drug addiction, family and pastoral counseling, multicultural and multi-ethnic issues, domestic violence and rape, LGBTQ+ issues, and women's issues.

Rooted in Gestalt Therapy, her therapeutic approach helps patients develop awareness of their emotions and surroundings, enabling them to respond to life’s challenges with clarity and intention.

Dr. Peay believes: "If I know my feelings and where they have come from, then I may know where I am going."

She is now accepting new patients.
