Elizabeth Hefner

MSN, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC

Elizabeth Hefner is a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) who works with adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns. She is especially passionate about helping individuals who have experienced trauma, struggle with anxiety disorders, or are working to rebuild their self-esteem.

With more than 14 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Elizabeth brings a unique whole-person perspective to mental health care. Throughout her career, she recognized the important connection between physical and emotional health and saw firsthand how mental health challenges can affect wellbeing. This inspired her to pursue advanced psychiatric training and become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, allowing her to provide more comprehensive care to the individuals and families she serves.

Her clinical experience includes primary care, internal medicine, urgent care, neurology, neurosurgery, and mental health settings, giving her a broad foundation for understanding the complex factors that influence overall health and wellness.

Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio Northern University, her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Duke University, and her post-master's certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Johns Hopkins University.
