Rachel Dawson

PMHNP-BC, RN

Rachel Dawson is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides compassionate, patient-centered care to children, adolescents, and adults. She is dedicated to helping patients navigate a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and other psychiatric challenges that impact daily functioning and overall well-being.

Rachel earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Cincinnati before obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Northern Kentucky University. Prior to becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she spent more than 13 years working as a Registered Nurse in inpatient psychiatric and long-term behavioral health settings, caring for individuals with complex mental health needs across the lifespan.

Drawing from her diverse clinical experience in inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth settings, Rachel provides evidence-based, trauma-informed care that respects each patient's unique values, preferences, goals, and lived experiences. She works collaboratively with patients to develop individualized treatment plans and believes that effective mental health care should address the whole person, not just symptoms.

Known for her empathetic nature and approachable demeanor, Rachel combines medication management with supportive therapeutic interventions to help patients achieve meaningful and lasting improvements in their mental health. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their treatment journey.
